FUE Transplant
FUE Transplant is one of the methods of hair transplantation. In this method, hair follicles are extracted from the donor area one by one. Then it is planted one by one in the recipient area. Hair follicles are only taken from the patient’s own hair. It can be collected from the back and sides of the scalp and transplanted to the area to be transplanted. Fue transplant is an effective solution for those who suffer from hair loss.
Fue (follicular unit extraction) hair transplantation is a method of hair transplantation performed without surgical intervention. In this method, which is popular around the world, hair is taken one by one, and transplantation is performed. Hair follicles are collected one by one from the donor area where the hair is most concentrated with a special medical device. Hair taken to the balding and sparse recipient area is transplanted.
A session can last 6-9 hours on average. Sessions are held for 1-2 days according to the need for hair follicles to be transplanted. The whole process is completed in 2 or more sessions. Fue transplant prices may vary depending on the city where the clinic is located, its quality, the expertise of the doctor and the number of hair follicles to be transplanted.
With this technique, hair, mustache, and eyebrow transplantation can also be done. It is the most suitable Fue transplant method for people with genetic baldness problems. It can be easily applied to any man and woman who have no health problems.
Fue technique can be applied to every healthy man and woman between the ages of 20-75 with genetic baldness problem. It can be applied if there are enough donor hair follicles to cover the recipient areas. It can also be preferred for covering some scars caused by accident and injury.
What Are The Properties Of Fue Transplant?
Fue technique; It is one of the two techniques used in hair transplantation. Generally more preferred. It is both a natural and non-surgical application. A natural appearance is achieved due to the transplantation of individual hair follicles. The main advantage of this FUE transplant technique is that up to 5,000 follicular units can be transferred in a single session.
With Fue, each hair follicle is removed individually with a special medical tool. There are many traces of white spots less than a millimeter in the donor area. Thus, no scars are encountered after the procedure. If the process is done properly, the scars are barely noticeable even with a short haircut. However, white spots can be seen if it is shaved completely.
Since there is no surgical incision or suture, the treated areas heal faster. When an additional session is required, it can usually be applied 1 day apart. After the Fue transplant procedure, there is no pain or loss of sensation in patients. Ideal for the mustache, eyebrow, beard transplantation, and scar repair.
Choosing a doctor is really important before any procedure is performed. Choosing doctors who have done Fue transplants before will affect the success of the procedure. After making an appointment with the doctor, the patient is examined first. Tests and hair analysis is performed for a successful result. After the patient’s suitability is decided, the procedures begin. Then, a ‘personalized hair transplant plan’ is created for the new hair to fully match the patient’s profile. Fue transplant procedure is performed in 4 stages after the plan is prepared.
How is FUE Transplant Done?
First of all, the patient’s hairs are extracted during the Fue transplant process. To find the direction of the hair follicles during extraction, the patient’s hair is shaved completely. Then, the scalp is washed with a special solution against the risk of infection. Then the borders of the donor area to be used are drawn. The donor area is the area where the hair will be taken. Finally, local anesthesia is applied to the patient in order not to feel pain. This stage takes an average of 1 hour according to the doctor’s experience.
In the second stage of the process, the hair follicles are removed one by one using a manual or micro motor punch. This process depends on the hair follicle to be collected. Then the hair follicles are protected in saline solution and at a low temperature. It is then processed under a microscope and made to be planted in the recipient area.
In the third stage of the process; the area where the hair will be transplanted is determined. The recipient area is marked by the personalized hair transplant plan. Channels are opened using medical devices according to the thickness and depth of the hair follicles in the anesthetized area. Specific standards regarding distribution, size, and direction are followed. Fue transplant processing time depends on the number of channels to be opened.
In this last stage, the hair is carefully placed in the channels where the hair follicles are opened. Hair follicular units are used to create a natural hairline. The two hair units are placed directly behind the single units. 3-4 hairy units are placed in the middle area of the scalp. Depending on the number of hair follicles to be transplanted, the process takes an average of 3 hours.
When Does Hair Grow After FUE Hair Transplantation?
After the FUE transplant process is over, the hair begins to grow slowly. Itching and inflammation may develop in the first 15 days after the process is completed. Also, small crusts appear that can fall off spontaneously. If crusting takes longer during this period, the doctor should be informed. Some or all of the hair may fall out between the 3rd week and 2 months. This situation is perfectly normal. From the 3rd month, as the hair follicles adapt, new hair begins to grow. Approximately 1 cm of growth occurs per month. From the 6th month, the hair continues to grow stronger. After 1 year, a completely natural appearance is achieved.
